Abstract :
[en] The Steam Group “Woke Content Detector” is created in March 2024, with the objective to establish a list distinguishing games with “woke content” from others. The members share a (very) traditionalist view on society and talk about the ways the so-called “woke enemy” has infiltrated the video game culture to disseminate some themes. Then, in May 2025, the creator of the group disappeared, leaving it without barrier against trolls who mimic the linguistic codes of the original member to mock them. However, the group continued to work but had to adapt. This presentation will seek to show the discursive and interactional changes that has occurred within the group with the departure of the sole administrator. The conclusion states that the "woke video game" category can be assimilated to a genre that the previous administrator tried to legitimate as a scientific object. [fr] Le groupe Steam du "Woke Content Detector" est créé en mars 2024 avec pour objectif d'établir une liste distinguant les jeux possédant du "contenu woke" des autres. Les membres partagent une vision (très) traditionaliste, voire réactionnaire, de la société. Ils estiment qu'un "ennemi woke" est présent au sein de la culture vidéoludique et tente d'en saper les fondements en répandant des thématiques progressistes. En mai 2025, le créateur du groupe disparait soudainement, laissant le groupe sans régulation face à des trolls. Ceux-ci se moquent des membres "anti-woke" en imitant leurs codes linguistiques, faisant régner un certain chaos. Le groupe tente de continuer à fonctionner, même s'il doit s'adapter à ces attaques répétées et imprévisibles. Cette présentation met en évidence les changements discursifs et interactionnels qui ont lieu depuis le départ de l'administrateur. La conclusion assimile la catégorie "jeu vidéo woke" a un genre vidéoludique que le précédent administrateur tentait d'ériger en objet scientifique à part entière.
