Abstract :
[en] The analysis of the federal survey on mobility and displacements at the University of Liege in 2024 reveals that nearly 54% of the full-time workers at the Sart Tilman campus are used to the solo driving for their commuting trips. Additionally, cars are mainly equipped with internal combustion engines. This leads to significant CO2 emissions, along with other consequences on congestion and costs. Although Sart Tilman is located on a hill away from the city center, a variety of alternative mobility options exists among which the public transport, the carpooling and the active modes. A series of influence parameters aiming to assess the required level of people’s acceptance is established with a view to changing the habits towards a more sustainable daily mobility. Modal shift scenarios from solo driving are developed based on an objective of a minimization of the perceived disutility for the workers along with drastic CO2 emissions. The elaboration of the scenarios also face local constraints (topography, public transport network, etc.). Sensitivity analyses are performed to capture the influence of the disutility associated to each modal shift option.
