Abstract :
[fr] La présente recherche menée auprès d’un échantillon d’élèves de 6e secondaire en Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles vise à évaluer si les performances en mathématiques, la motivation et le nombre d’heures hebdomadaires de mathématiques peuvent modérer l’influence du sexe sur les perceptions et aspirations des élèves à des études et carrières dans le domaine des STIM. L’effet du sexe sur les aspirations aux études et carrières mathématiques persiste une fois d’autres caractéristiques contrôlées ; en revanche, il disparait pour la perception qu’ont les élèves de l'importance des mathématiques dans leurs études supérieures une fois que les performances en mathématiques, la motivation et le nombre d’heures hebdomadaires de mathématiques sont tenus sous contrôle.
