[en] Five indole alkaloids ( reserpiline, sarpagine, lochnerine, harman, beat-yohimbine) are identified in the root bark of Rauwolfia sellowii collected for the first time in Amazonian forest (Rio Branco, Acre).

Some years later, we receive an information from Brazil that the batch we have analysed would not be R. sellowii but R. bahiensis. We keep a voucher sample of the plant we have studied in our herbarium in the laboratory of Pharmacognosy (University of Liège). let us hope that the specimen will be identified in the future
