specific language impairment; grammar; cognitive processing
Résumé :
[en] Sentence comprehension necessitates many processing habilities. Grammatical analysis is recruited, but phonological and lexical processing, various aspects of attention and verbal working memory are also needed. All these processes work in parallel in a limited capacity information processing system. In this article, we present data suggesting processing limitations in children with specific language impairment and the possible impact on their linguistic performances. Specifically, we present the impact on morphosyntactical processing habilites in a limited capacity system as theoretical framework.
