Abstract :
[en] This workshop on publication ethics focuses on citation gaming and manipulation. It presents a real, albeit very generic, scenario of citation manipulation submitted to the Committe on Publication Ethics (COPE) in 2023. Participants are then required to discuss said case is small groups before and to answer a set of specificic questions in a capacity of members of journal editorial board. A collaborative summary of the possibilities and proposed solutions is then offered. The wrokshop concludes with reflections on what drives citation gaming and discusses some of the adverse effects of the metricization of research (evaluation).
