[en] The aim of this work is to interpolate surface currents of the Balearic Sea at high space and time resolution. The main idea is to evaluate the capability of the interpolation method DIVAnd (Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis in n dimensions) to capture mesoscale phenomenon. A validation of the results is performed with independent drifter observations. The method confirms the high accuracy of the SWOT observations and shows error below 10 cm/s at a two days and 1/20° resolution.
