Abstract :
[en] This study enhances urban sustainability by repurposing construction and demolition waste (CDW) through advanced stock quantification. Using multisource data including cadastral, LiDAR, land use, we inventory Walloon residential buildings, classifying them by age and type and analysing building volumes. Material intensities and building volumes are combined with demolition rates, estimated from building change detection and STATBEL statistics, to project recyclable materials stocks. Scenario analysis links building conditions to CDW generation, projecting recyclable volumes and their spatial distributions. Results can support stakeholders to optimize waste management. The approach addresses data gaps in demolition material composition, supporting circular economy strategies in construction.
