[en] This workshop explores urban diagnosis as a key tool for analyzing and understanding the dynamics of a territory. Much like a medical check-up, an urban diagnosis examines the city to better guide its transformation. It is a crucial step in the design of urban projects, offering a cross-analysis of local realities and stakeholders’ perceptions. We will introduce several methods commonly used in this process, including:
· Transect walk, for a sensitive, on-the-ground reading of urban space;
· Chorematic analysis, which visually synthesizes spatial structures and relationships;
· SWOT framework, to identify strategic challenges and define an urban project.
