Abstract :
[en] We study the novel Ceniza en la boca (2022) by Brenda Navarro, focusing on the intimate bonds between the three main characters, the siblings and their mother. To this end, we first explore how they try to communicate with each other in a world where it is difficult to forge bonds, and then we focus on the representation of the spaces through which they transit. We will be guided by the analyses of affects and postmodern societies conducted by Sara Ahmed (2014), Zygmunt Bauman (2000) and Marc Augé (1992, 2010). Indeed, the novel evokes the ideas that these authors proposed respectively on compassion, liquid times and non-places.
[es] Analizamos la novela Ceniza en la boca (2022) de Brenda Navarro enfocando los vínculos íntimos entre los personajes de los hermanos y su madre. Con este propósito, primero exploramos cómo intentan comunicar entre ellos en un mundo donde es difícil amarrar lazos, para luego centrarnos en la representación de los espacios por los que transitan. Nos guiarán de forma especial, aunque no exclusiva, los análisis que hicieran sobre las sociedades posmodernas Zygmunt Bauman (2000) y Marc Augé (1992). La novela evoca en efecto las ideas que ambos autores propusieron respectivamente sobre los tiempos líquidos y los no lugares.
