Abstract :
[en] Some example are presented that show how it is possible to derive from experimental tests made on protected steel sections subjected to fire an apparent thermal conductivity of the insulatin product. The method presented is widely used in Belgium and has been adopted in European standards as one of four possible methods for characterizing insulating products.
