[en] The aim of this study was to develop a population pharmacokinetic model for an investigational prodrug with the intention of linking this model to previous works on a modified release form of this prodrug. The data used to create this model were provided from a phase I study. Concentration-time measurements were available for three compounds; the prodrug, the metabolite and the active compound. The model developed is able to describe the pharmacokinetics of the prodrug and its metabolite. Perspectives for future investigations are presented.
