[en] Kurt Lewin marked the history of social science, with a particular focus on questions concerning learning, change and groups. In this article, we shall look at how his theories, ideas and practices can help the trainers of today. The questions Lewin asked are indeed still topical: How do you train people? How do you support learning? How do you manage the different aspects of a social or technical innovation? Lewin’s approach will be applied here to the actions of a non-governmental organisation conducting projects concerning farming practices that are more respectful of human life and the environment. Within the framework of a partnership between this organisation and a university department, we shall see which conceptualisation of practices and which proposals may result from a cross between experience in the field and Lewin’s theories, with the goal of serving training today.
