[en] The Dutch writer Willem Jan Otten (1951) caused some controversy in the Dutch republic of lettres with his late conversion to Catholicism in 1999. The first poetry he published since that life changing decision, was an openly hommage to the Dutch novelist Frans Kellendonk (1951-1990). This article tracks down the relation between both writers, via their main poetical influence: the American Modernist poet Wallace Stevens.
