[en] This paper deals with the development and the experimental validation of an air-to-air recovery heat exchanger model dedicated to ventilation of residential buildings. The first part of the paper presents a semi-empirical model based on physical characteristics of the heat exchanger. The aim of this model is to predict the behavior of the device in dry conditions. The second part of the paper describes the experimental facility designed to determine the hydraulic and thermal performance of the device and offers a comparison between simulation and experimental results. Finally, the model is calibrated in order to predict the thermal and hydraulic performance of the heat exchanger within respectively, less than 5% and less than 2% of accuracy.
