[en] This presentation serves as background for a short seminar (12 h) taught each year at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) which purports to give a general overview of the achievements made so far in building a European private international law. The course is taught as part of the European law program offered by MGIMO's European Studies Institute which is co-sponsored by the College of Europe. Target audience of the course are Russian civil servants from different ministeries.
