[en] Mead-Briggs (1992) proposed a Iaborarory method to assess the contact toxicity of a pesticide
on the cereal aphid parasitoid Aphidius rhopalosiphi De Stefani-Perez. The influence of air
moisture, photoperiod, sex of insects and storage conditions on the sensitivity of this
parasitoid to phosalone was studied. Results sbowed that insect sensitivity is the most
influenced by air moisture. The storage conditions of mummies before use seems also to be
an important factor.
