Abstract :
[en] In this paper, I offer a thorough analysis of the provisions of the Code of Private International law (Act of 16 July 2004) regarding the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments in Belgium (artt. 22 ff). The emphasis is on the differences with the regime which prevailed before the entry into force of the Code. At the same time I indicate what differences remain between the regime put in place by the Code and the one prevailing within the European Judicial Area, with Regulation 44/2001 as main comparison point.
