[en] The Global Observatory for Physical Education (GoPE!) is a project aiming to conduct a cross-sectional, descriptive, and comparative analysis at the international level to compare the physical education status across countries. It is based on several characteristics covering the existence of a PE curriculum, mandatory PE status, minimum time requirements, national surveillance systems, and PE and school-based physical activity intervention research. This presentation is integrated into a symposium and focuses on the Belgian data presented in the country card published in 2026. Some challenges and possible developments are also proposed.
