[en] This article presents SDPMflut, a new open-source code written in Python and C to carry out steady/unsteady aerodynamic and aeroelastic computations for subsonic wings and complete aircraft. The software implements the Source and Doublet Panel Method (SDPM) as well as a quadratic version of the non-planar Doublet Lattice Method (DLM) for aerodynamic analysis. The SDPM makes use of the recently developed higher-order pressure computations, which improves pressure estimates throughout the frequency range in subcritical, attached flow conditions. SDPMflut can predict steady aerodynamic loads, unsteady aerodynamic stability derivatives and generalized aerodynamic load matrices for flutter calculations. The software distribution includes 15 experimental validation test cases, some of which are presented here, along with the mathematical basis of the SDPM approach and its practical implementation in SDPMflut.
