[en] This poster explores how the ageing of reinforced-concrete infrastructure can be used to "terrestrialise" it, by moving beyond the infrastructure as a purely technical object. Focusing on the Plate-Taille dam in Wallonia, this poster follows both its industrial past and the relations that have made the structure possible and continue to sustain it today: construction materials, ageing processes, water, energy, human and non-human life, maintenance workers, technical expertise, administrative decisions and political choices. Combining archival research, semi-structured interviews, ethnography and graphic inquiry, the poster makes visible the material, environmental and social dependencies that are usually externalised from architectural and engineering representations.
