Abstract :
[en] This article examines the physical feasibility of DC OPF based solutions when applied to power system planning. Although widely used for its computational efficiency, the DC OPF framework overlooks key constraints of the AC model, which can lead to solutions that are not operationally viable. To address these shortcomings, a rehabilitation methodology is de veloped to ensure the full feasibility of the solutions obtained. The proposed methodology is validated on a power grid representative of an emerging country, namely Senegal. Such power systems are characterized by rapid demand growth, a sparse grid, and limited automatic control devices, making feasibility issues particularly critical. The results demonstrate that explicitly accounting for AC feasibility significantly improves the robustness and practical applicability of the planning results.
