Abstract :
[en] This paper presents a methodology for designing the investment plan of the Senegalese power system by 2050, covering both the electrical generation and the transmission network. Using Python for Power System Analysis (PyPSA), multi-period power system optimizations are conducted to evaluate different investment strategies. Various scenarios are explored, incorporating the existing generation assets. Additionally, two sensitivity analyses are performed to quantify the impact of CO2 emission constraints on the average cost of electricity per MWh.
