Abstract :
[en] Harm reduction should be a key aim of all drug policy, interventions and support.
Treatment should be available for those who seek it. Research should bring the
voices and experiences of people who use drugs (PWUD) into the evidential base
which (ideally, at least) underpins policy. In all cases, engaging with PWUD is im-
portant for good research, successful support, and effective interventions.
This call for book chapters is an opportunity to share innovative theoretical perspec-
tives, results, methods and/or settings around the topics of outreach and engage-
ment of PWUD in developing harm reduction strategies, treatment and support, and
research.
My chapter fits within the section Drugs and Harm Reduction Initiatives and focuses on women’s perspectives on overcoming barriers to care.
