Abstract :
[en] We explain in detail how the work carried out on the transport connection release aspects in the framework of the OSI95 Connection-Mode Transport Service has led to the introduction of a graceful transport connection release facility and, later on, to an enhancement of the existing ISO/IEC abrupt transport connection release facility.
