Abstract :
[en] This presentation investigates the application of zirconia for resin-bonded fixed dental prostheses (RBFDPs), emphasizing its mechanical reliability, biocompatibility, and optical behavior. Optimized surface conditioning through air abrasion and MDP-based primers enables durable adhesion to resin cements. A clinical evaluation of no-prep zirconia cantilever RBFDPs demonstrated a 100% survival rate over a mean 3-year follow-up. Digital positioning guides achieved mean deviations below 0.1 mm and 1°, confirming zirconia’s precision and suitability for minimally invasive adhesive prosthodontics.
