Abstract :
[en] The remnants of Meuse terraces of the Meuse-Geer interfluve and the Romont/Bassenge quarry are revisited for having been treated in a contradictory manner in the literature during the development of models of Lower Meuse terraces. Their stratigraphic position is specified in relation to the so-called main terrace with reference to the Hermée remnant (upstream) and the Campine Plateau (downstream). The increase in slope which ensures this correlation is attributed to the tectonic activity in the Roer Graben. The ensuing knickpoint of the relevant headward erosion has reached the floodplain in the Huy region.
