Abstract :
[en] In this chapter, we discuss the process of magnetic flux injection into a macroscopic flat superconducting ring. We place special emphasis on the emergence of lightning-like magnetic flux bursts along heated trails originating from thermomagnetic instabilities. Additionally, we explore strategies aimed at mitigating or delaying this phenomenon. Understanding these dynamics is crucial, as they may significantly impact the performance of superconducting resonators, shielding systems, and metamaterials.
