[en] The paper aims at shedding light on the modalities of reception of Pliny the Younger in Symmachus’ Letters, starting from the analysis of a reference to Pliny in Symm. epist. IX 28 and of its implications. Not only Symmachus reads Pliny, as textual echoes show, but reference to the author deeply influence his letter collection, shaping its structure.
