Recenti studi su Francesco Guicciardini (2009-2020). Prima parte

Ten years after the publication of two monographs (Cutinelli 2009 and Varotti 2009) which compiled the critical contributions of Guicciardini studies from 1900’s and early 2000’s, the present rassegna was born out of the need to integrate more recent studies into the earlier surveys. In this first of two articles, the focus will be on the most important discoveries having to do with the mature works – Ricordi and Storia d’Italia – and the vast correspondence of the Florentine historian.
