[en] Dominique Votion, DVM, PhD, from Belgium’s University of Liege, received the Merial Applied Research Award for her work on atypical myopathy (an often fatal disorder involving the sudden onset of acute muscle pain and damage). Jean-Christophe Thibault of Merial and incoming WEVA President David Hodgson, BVSc, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, FACSM, presented the award.
