Abstract :
[en] or a blind/low vision friendly version of the above, check out our audio version of the event flyer. Tuesday March 23rd from 5-6:30pm PT / 8-9:30pm ET, The Paul K. Longmore Institute on Disability is partnering with The Program in Visual Impairments and the department of Comic Studies at SF State to present Adapting Comics for Blind and Low Vision Readers: A Roundtable Discussion. Join a panel of experts in in access, blindness, and comics, as they explore creative and technological approaches to open up this historically visual medium to blind and low vision readers. Featured panelists: Chancey Fleet, Darren DeFrain, Daniel Fontaine, Scott McCloud, Sky McLeod, Joshua Miele, and Aaron Rodriguez. SFSU Hosts: Yue-Ting Siu (moderator), Nick Sousanis, and Emily Beitiks, with support from the Liberal and Creative Arts Extraordinary Ideas Grant. ASL and CART will be provided.
