[en] At present, there are technical limitations in the field of safety and design of storage racks in seismic areas. To solve some of these limitations, the EU sponsored through the Research Fund for Coal and Steel an RTD project titled “Storage Racks in Seismic Areas” (acronym SEISRACKS). This paper describes the main research activities and obtained results of the project, initiated in December 2004 and terminated in June 2007.
