Abstract :
[en] Concussion in sport represents a major challenge with important implications for the health of athletes. This article presents a variety of clinical cases of concussion in sport, providing an overview of the situations faced by healthcare professionals. By examining these cases, practitioners can deepen their understanding of best practice in the diagnosis, management and prevention of concussion in sport. The first case presents an 18-year-old female football player who suffers post-concussive symptoms following a collision. The second case describes the story of a 20-year-old handball centre-half who, after a violent collision, wants to return to the game despite significant initial symptoms. The third case evoke a 10-year-old hockey player whose symptoms persisted a week after the accident. Finally, the fourth case describes a 24-year-old alpine skier who has suffered several concussions, with increasing repercussions on her health and sporting career. These cases raise critical questions for healthcare professionals: what tools should be used to assess concussion, what recommendations should be given for a return to sport and school, and how should aggravating factors be managed? Based on these real-life situations, the article aims to enhance the knowledge and practices of doctors and healthcare professionals, highlighting the importance of rigorous assessment and appropriate recommendations.
