Abstract :
[en] Circular economy opportunities occur at every building life cycle stage. The consistent evaluation of the disassembly potential of buildings at different scales supports the decision-making for the sustainability of construction works. The main limitation in this field is the fragmentation and dispersion of criteria and methods for circular construction. The paper provides an overview of disassembly evaluation methods using a hybrid systematic review. The review is structured into two sections. The first section investigates generic studies assessing the disassembly potential of buildings, while the second section focuses on studies that address quantitative criteria and methods of disassembly evaluation of buildings. The study discusses the state-of-the-art metrics and
criteria that can be used in future European standards for circular construction. Also, the review helps researchers and building professionals to identify the most appropriate methods to evaluate buildings based on the principle of design for disassembly.
