[en] In this study, we will first explore India, from a historical perspective, towards its emerging country status while defining this notion. Adopting the same perspective, we will trace the evolution of human resources management in the country before examining its current state. We will then analyze the literature to identify the main challenges of HRM in India. We then present the analysis of the challenges identified in our interviews with local partners and multinational executives. This allows us to draw up a list of aspects to consider HRM in this country.
