[en] A volume bringing together nine of Caryl Phillips’s radio plays was published by Methuen in 2023. On this occasion, Bénédicte Ledent conducted an interview with the award-winning writer born in St Kitts. The conversation focuses on radio drama as a literary genre and on Caryl Phillips’s radio production in relation to the rest of his work. This topic is also addressed in the interview’s critical introduction, which places Phillips’s radio drama in the wider context of the links between the history of radio and Caribbean writing.
