Abstract :
[en] The catatonic action of the methyl ethers of some mono- and polyphenolamines injected intraperitoneally to mice has been studied. Of these compounds, 4-méthoxy-phenylethylamine (tyramine methyl ether) is the most active. Any further substitution on the ring or the side chain is associated with a cumulative loss of activity. Mascaline is four times less efficient on this test than tyramine methyl ether.
