Abstract :
[en] The Akkadian dialect noted on cuneiform tablets from the late šakkanakku period (mid-19th century B.C.) is characterized by some linguistic features common to the dialects from northern Mesopotamia and western Syria. This paper proposes to summarize what we know about the šakkanakku dialect from Middle Euphrates Valley and to expose some new data as on subjunctive mode, participle derivation, and precative.
