Abstract :
[en] The travel patterns of people in cities have undergone significant changes and will continue to evolve, leading to the emergence of new forms of urban mobility. These changes have economic, social, and environmental impacts worldwide. Many urban centres are now planning and implementing transformations with the goal of shifting away from car-centric transportation and promoting alternative modes of transport. The city of Liège in Belgium is also striving to address its traffic issues and reorganize its mobility system accordingly. This study focuses on exploring the potential use of cable cars in Liège by collecting survey data from students, PhD candidates, and employees of the University of Liège who commute between Liège and Sart-Tilman. Binary logistic regression is applied to identify the key factors influencing the likelihood of using cable cars. The results indicate that reliability, the primary mode of transport, and travel time are significant variables among others.
