[en] The Rorschach sheds some light on Henri's psychological functioning, enabling us to argue that the dramatic decompensation of his rigid, avoidant personality was at the root of the murderous episode. This decompensation consisted of a profound disorganization that gave way to impulses and automatisms, making mentalization and control impossible. It would have been triggered by the intense stress following the wife's irrevocable decision to divorce.
