A propos de l' "Atlas d’un territoire habité — Walcourt"

À partir d’une recherche sur le potentiel des pratiques cartographiques — médiation entre un terrain et ses habitants —, à générer une pensée du paysage, les éléments présentés ici, issus d’expériences pratiques de cartographie en territoires situés, décrivent trois étapes constitutives de ces opérations cartographiques et évoquent le rôle central du dessin en leur sein. En augmentant progressivement le curseur de la co-construction dans les différentes étapes, cette pratique de médiation se renforce en tant qu’outil pour exercer la démocratie et créer un public, dans le sillage de l’approche de John Dewey.
Based on research into the potential of cartographic practices — mediation between a terrain and its inhabitants —, to generate landscape thinking, the elements presented here, drawn from practical cartographic experiences in situated territories, describe three constituent stages of these cartographic operations and evoke the central role of drawing within them. By gradually increasing the degree of co-construction in the various stages, this mediation practice is strengthened as a tool for exercising democracy and creating a public, in the wake of John Dewey's approach.
