Abstract :
[en] Retrociliary diathermy must be harmless. One must strictly observe certain conditions in order to avoid failure, which would bring a very useful operation into discredit. Technique is very important. The operation is easy and needs no special skill. Nevertheless, experience has shown that results are better when the operation is performed by experienced hands. Correctly executed retrociliary diathermy can often cure ocular hypertension without risk. In certain forms of glaucoma it is the chosen operation. © 1952 S. Karger AG, Basel.
