Abstract :
[en] The aim of this book is to present the American political system it all its complexity so that it can be understood by everyone. The book aims to present the American political institutions, the relationships that govern them, the values that structure them as well as those that animate the citizens and the American community. The aim is also to present some of the central mechanisms of its institutional machinery, the actors and key moments in history that have marked the American society. Every event, every movement or proposal and project must be studied in its context but also with regard to the values that drive them. Thus, as I will present, the spirit of the American Founding Fathers is still present, in a more or less diffuse way, in the political life of the country, whether on the national or international scene. Through certain boxes, I will also present political phenomena that have marked the lives of Americans and that continue to animate the debates and issues of today's society.
