[en] This paper focuses on the distinction between the different types
of reported speech in opposition to scholar hierarchy. The pragmatist and
enunciative approach which is developed studies the communicational
intentions of the speaker and the influence of the enunciative context on his
choices (direct speech, indirect speech, free indirect speech or free direct
speech). In the filiation of Bernard Combettes, Jacqueline Authier-Revuz
and Alain Rabatel, this pragmatist and enunciative perspective aims to
analyze the heterogeneity of reported speech in its diversity. Usages are
more complex than instituted categories and ideas – like primary discourse,
derivate discourse and morpho-syntactic transformations between the
different types of reported speeches. The paper is structured in three stages:
first, it studies the pioneer research of Combettes, “Discours rapporté et
énonciation: trois approches différentes”, and then Authier-Revuz’s
Représentation du discours autre and Rabatel’s “L’effacement énonciatif
dans les discours rapportés et ses effets pragmatiques”. In the continuity of
these works, I develop a pragmatist and enunciative analysis based on
empirical observations (Belgian Francophone speakers in the 2020’ situated
in the discursive formation of French teaching). The methodology used to
select this corpus will be detailed in a sociolinguistic way.
