[en] This allocution aimed to contribute to:
• the defining of recommendations to make for the elaboration of a SBSTA work program for the development of Article 6 of the FCCC;
• the analysis and discussion of strategies that promote the development of programs for education, training and public awareness on climate change, with a special emphasis on capacity building;
• the identification of useful initiatives that facilitate the coordination of measures taken regarding climate change, in order to avoid the useless repetition of similar efforts and to make the most of combined actions. [fr] Cette allocution visait à contribuer à:
• la définition de recommandations pour l’élaboration d’un programme de travail du SBSTA pour le développement de l’article 6 de la Convention Cadre sur le Changement Climatique – article traitant de l’éducation et de la sensibilisation du public ;
• l’analyse et la mise en discussion de stratégies de promotion du développement de programmes d’éducation, formation et sensibilisation du public au changement climatique, avec une attention spéciale dévolue à la capacitation ;
• l’identification d’initiatives intéressantes, propres à faciliter la coordination des mesures prises en matière de lutte contre, et de remédiation au changement climatique, de façon à éviter d’inutiles redondances des efforts consentis et de tirer parti au maximum d’actions combinées.
