Psychothérapie institutionnelle; Rétablissement; hôpital de jour
Abstract :
[en] Facing the historical sanitary crisis which we all had to deal with, the day hospital had to respond to the paradox that was imposed on us: how to preserve a link with our patients when we are forced to shut down the hospital? The institutional psychotherapy has always questioned, by definition, the relation between the patient and his place regarding the care. The COVID-19 crisis complexified this questioning and forced us to rethink our ways of working and thinking with the patients. How to work with an absent patient? Our response to the emergency shutdown program, to which every belgian hospital had to respond, was to maintain that link and to commit to the patient-career relationship by using new technological tools and by adapting the therapeutical framework to the social/physical distancing. The place of the patient, active care seeker, was also shaken by the crisis. How can the patient maintain this position, the leading position regarding the care, integrated to his citizen life and aligned with the concept of recovery, when we are facing a confinement? [fr] Face à la crise sanitaire que nous traversons, l’Hôpital de Jour est confronté à un paradoxe de manière inédite : comment garder le lien lorsque nous devons fermer nos portes ?
La psychothérapie institutionnelle questionne, par définition, le lien entre le patient et la place de celui-ci dans les soins. La crise provoquée par la COVID-19 sera venue complexifier ce questionnement en bousculant brutalement le processus thérapeutique.
Comment dès lors travailler avec le patient si ce dernier est absent de l’institution ?
Notre réponse au plan d’arrêt d’urgence, auquel les hôpitaux belges ont dû se conformer, aura été de maintenir un lien thérapeutique et d’investir la relation soignant-soigné en utilisant les nouvelles technologies tout en adaptant le cadre thérapeutique à la distanciation physique. Le rôle du patient, actif demandeur de soins, a également été ébranlé par cette crise.
Le paradigme du rétablissement, en situation de confinement, y trouve une occasion historique de se déployer.
