[fr] Objectif : Cette étude vise à déterminer si des différences de maturité psychosociale au sein d’un échantillon masculin âgé de 14 à 30 ans sont davantage liées à une variable développementale (l’âge) ou aux conduites exprimées par les participants à l’étude. Population : un échantillon de 180 individus belges francophones (moy.= 21.78 ans, ét.= 5.26) a été rencontré, réparti en deux sous-échantillons: un sous-groupe judiciarisé (établissements de placements et pénitentiaires) et un sous-groupe non judiciarisé (contact tout venant via établissements scolaires, de loisirs et réseaux sociaux). Méthode : Des mesures standardisées ont été utilisées (délinquance auto-rapportées et les 6 facteurs identifiés de la maturité psychosociale) via une enquête individuelle par questionnaire. Des analyses univariées et inférentielles ont été réalisées afin de vérifier si les différences entre les deux sous-échantillons sur les facteurs de la maturité psychosociale étaient liés à l’âge et/ou au statut de judiciarisation. Les principaux résultats issus des Ancova démontrent que 3 facteurs de la maturité psychosociale (contrôle de l’impulsivité, répression de l’agressivité et sens des responsabilités) sont expliqués exclusivement par les conduites des participants, avec des moyennes significativement plus élevées au sein du sous-groupe non judiciarisé, tandis qu’un facteur (orientation vers le futur) semble davantage expliqué par l’âge des participants, indépendamment des conduites présentées. Conclusion et implications : La maturité psychosociale se présente comme une dimension importante à intégrer au sein de la justice des mineurs, notamment en termes de prises en charge cliniques. Des implications pratiques et théoriques sont discutées.
