Abstract :
[en] The Magdalenian site of Aurensan (in the High-Pyrenees) has produced over 189 animal bones. It
concerns finished objects and waste produce, mainly on reindeer antlers. This material, originating from early excavations, has been attributed to the middle and superior Magdalenian (DELPORTE 1974). We have attempted to clarify this attribution by determining the elements which are likely to result from either phase. Furthermore, the technological approach has permitted the reconstitution of “schémas opératoires” used for the transformation of reindeer antlers, and thus tackling the question of the site occupant's use of this raw material [fr] Le site magdalénien d’Aurensan (Hautes-Pyrénées) a livré plus de 189 pièces en matières dures
animales. Il s’agit d’objets finis et de déchets de production majoritairement sur bois de renne. Ce matériel, issu de fouilles anciennes, a été attribué à un Magdalénien moyen/supérieur (DELPORTE 1974). Nous avons tenté de préciser cette attribution chronoculturelle, en déterminant les éléments pouvant relever de l’une ou de l’autre des phases. En outre, l’approche technologique a permis de reconstituer les schémas opératoires utilisés pour la transformation des bois de renne et ainsi aborder la question de la gestion de cette matière première par les occupants du site.
