Abstract :
[en] Phosphorus (P) is one of the essential elements for plant nutrition, assimilated under the anionic soluble forms H2PO4- and HPO4=. The ratio of available/total phosphorus is used as a measure of the soil capacity to bind P in the few soluble forms and the possibility of plants using the added P. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships between total P and available P in soils from three localities (Combuyo, Melga and Aramasí) in Cochabamba (Bolivia). According to the ratio P available/total, the available P is deficient in the three locations. There were significant differences for total P (Combuyo >Aramasí > Melga), but not for available P. The degree of association between total P and available P is high for the three locations. From the linear regressions between available P (y) and total P (x), the following equations were obtained: y = 0.0614x - 38.55 (R2 0.65), y = 0.0264x - 11.427 (R2 0.83), y = 0.0167x + 6.2746 (R2 0.54), for Aramasí, Combuyo and Melga, respectively. For these predictive models to be functional, it is recommended to validate them with an auxiliary sampling.
